Feedback sought on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Dear colleagues,

As a Hispanic-Serving and Minority-Serving institution, diversity, equity, and inclusion are critically important at New Mexico State University. Last November, a three-person external review team visited NMSU to review and determine the optimal structure that will permit us to achieve our goals for a more diverse, equitable and inclusive campus community.

The findings of that review team were reviewed at a Town Hall Webinar on May 7 hosted by the Diversity Council that featured Review Team Member Dr. Archie Ervin, Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer at the Georgia Institute of Technology.  Those findings are available online, along with a request for your feedback.

Please review this report and provide feedback before June 5, 2020. By mid June, I plan to come back to the campus community with some ideas on how to move forward.
