NMSU Diversity Council, President Floros to host special town hall Thursday

The system-wide Diversity Council and President John Floros invite you to participate in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Town Hall from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, May 7. The purpose of the town hall is to receive the results, get recommendations and take questions about the findings from an external review team that assessed the DEI conditions at NMSU this past fall. The leader of the external review team, Archie Ervin, the vice president of DEI and chief diversity officer at the Georgia Institute of Technology, will present the team’s findings related to DEI issues related to students, staff and faculty. Diversity Council members will moderate the town hall and take live questions.

You can review the team’s Executive Summary, and provide feedback and submit questions to be answered by Dr. Ervin during the town hall. You can access these materials on the NMSU Diversity Council’s webpage at https://diversitycouncil.nmsu.edu/diversity-town-hall/.

The Diversity Council is eager for your input and participation as we work collectively as students, staff, faculty and administration to advance the work of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at NMSU.
